This week marked our 4th wedding anniversary and we celebrated it at the very spot we married 4 years before in Leu Gardens, Orlando, with our beautiful girly
We may be a bit more tired than before, be carrying a couple of extra pounds than before, and perhaps sporting a few more grey hairs than before, but we definitely love and appreciate each other more than before
We started the day with a very early 820am breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends at Magic Kingdom before heading over to Leu Gardens which is 30 minutes north from Kissimmee and is well worth visiting for a chilled walk and time out from the theme parks
We booked our wedding there a year before getting married without knowing what it was like and without visiting, and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and tranquil it is. Visiting again confirmed just that, and we bumped into only a couple of people on our journey round which is a massive difference to the theme parks!
J really appreciated running around and having the freedom, as opposed to having to stay close to us throughout the theme parks. Considering how young she is, she’s been such a good girl and understands why we’re insistent on it, despite the fact she hates the reins!
The temperature when we arrived at Leu Gardens hit 90F which was hot but still pleasantly cooler than the 100F we married in. As we walked past the main tree towards the gazebo we married under I couldn’t help but get a lump in my throat as I remembered the last time we were there and I stopped to watch my two favourite people walk the gardens in front of me quietly shedding a couple of happy tears
As we arrived at the gazebo we married under J decided she wanted to take a few photos with my camera for a bit and we let her. I won’t lie, I was incredibly nervous, it’s one of my prized possessions! Though for a 2 year old she’s not too shabby with a camera and I feel we may have a budding photographer on our hands
We spent a good 2.5 hours there enjoying the time and walking around and reminiscing when we decided a perfect end to the day would be a trip to Blizzard Beach and meet the other members of our family for a couple of hours
A jam packed day but one that I will always remember for the best reasons. We probably won’t be back in Florida for another 5-6 years so I’m so glad we stopped there and I am so glad it was as beautiful as the day we married
Happy 4th anniversary my hubster, thanks for putting up with me x
