My Favourite Season – Autumn Love {Ordinary Moments Week 42 – 18/10/15}

The last week has mostly been spent getting back into the normal daily routines, leaving the house as the sun is rising and returning home as the sun is starting to set. Although the days are getting shorter and shorter this time of year is my favourite, the trees are beautiful shades, the leaves are on the ground to kick and there is a smell in the air which can only be described as “autumnal”

I have spent a proportion of my time out and about kicking leaves, admiring the colour all around me, and enjoying the sun which beams down on us whilst taking the chill away from the cold that comes with this time of year. My winter coats and scarves are out ready to be worn and the hot chocolate has been pulled from the top cupboard ready to warm us on the inside as we come indoors

It feels like all it did was rain this summer (am I the only one thinking that?!) so it’s actually really nice to be outside in the sun. J has requested pretty much every night that we take Lexi out, and we have obliged, enjoying some time together outside of our busy schedules before settling in for the evening

As Friday arrived we were all feeling exhausted from our first week back so we knew this weekend would need to be a quiet and chilled one but on J’s request a walk had to feature so we headed to a nearby forest with the dog off the lead and our walking boots and wellies on

J and I walked in the stream, splashing about, enjoying the sun whilst the hubster watched on and Lexi snooped round the forest and joined us in the stream. We walked for a mile or so which took us an hour as we spent a large amount of time finding a walking stick and kicking leaves but it was so nice to be out and enjoying the new season which is upon us

Hello Autumn, my favourite season…

For some reason the hubster struggles with the focus on my camera so several shots came out blurry, but here's one of me and my girly with leaves

A little bit of a fail of my 3 on the bridge, Lexi's face is blocked out by the bridge beam, oops!

  1. Ah such gorgeous photos and I agree, it did feel like all it did was rain all summer, we have definitely been luckier with the weather in autumn. I am loving it at the moment, everywhere is such beautiful colours and we also have the promise of Christmas on the horizon which I love! x
