Update on Our Autumn Bucket List

With 1 month left of Autumn I wanted to review our bucket list and it seems that we’ve managed to complete most of the items we set ourselves this season. Halloween and Bonfire Night feel like a distant memory and whilst we’re getting ready for a very special girl’s 5th birthday, I’m not sure I’m ready to say goodbye to autumn in a few weeks

We caught the sunset on the first day after the clocks changed which was just glorious, and we spent much of October preparing for Halloween and getting excited, making candy apples and carving pumpkins, with a little Halloween party for J and her cousin. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of Halloween trick or treating as we were having so much fun, but J and her cousin had a greta time! Here are some of our photos along with the completed bucket list items since the last update in blue

I was pretty poorly when we were due to go and see the fireworks, so we ended up not going to a display, but watching them from the roadside and seeing J’s face in awe. They never seem to match up to the Disney expectations – I’m sure we’ll have to go again sometime!

We had a brilliant weekend away at Sandy Balls in the New Forest, staying in a Camping Pod – I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a weekend away that was slightly different!

J and I made home made s’mores with chocolate digestives and marshmallows which were lovely although the hubster didn’t agree! The one thing we didn’t do in amongst the Halloween fun was bob for apples – might have to add that one in!
