Visiting the Welsh Mountains

For years I’ve been saying I wanted to visit the Welsh mountains and that I wanted to climb Snowdon but we’ve never managed to get me there. A combination of motherhood, Disney trips and home life meant neither visit nor climb ever quite happened, until this weekend…

Exploring Trentham Gardens in Winter

Whenever we go ‘up north’ to visit our friend we always try to go to Trentham Gardens in Stoke on Trent. It’s peaceful, tranquil and beautiful – just what we need in amongst our busy lives

A Year in Photos

I knew I wanted to write about my resolutions, but I also wanted to dedicate a post to some of my favourite photos from each month in 2017. Here are just a few of my many favourite photos from the year:

Looking Back on 2017 and Looking Forward to 2018

I’m aware that time moves at a set pace by my goodness didn’t 2017 feel like it flew by? Since I’ve become a mum the days felt like they had moved quicker, and then when J started school it stepped up yet another notch, with more routines and diary bookings

I started 2017 saying it was going to be the year of health, adventure and family, and whilst there’s still room for improvement, overall I’m pleased with my progress:

An Autumn Walk by the Water

Show me someone who doesn’t love autumn and I’ll show them every reason they should. It’s a shame that we’re near the end of it and that winter is nearly upon us, but as it’s my second favourite season I can’t complain too much. I sit writing this as much of the UK has been covered by snow, with more due tomorrow, and it feels as though my county is the only one which seems to have been missed. Next time I’m sure!

Wooly Hats, Welly Boots and Sunny Autumn Skies

Oh autumn you’re beautiful, you bring the most striking sunsets and gorgeous skies, and I’m totally and utterly in love with you. If only you’d last longer, continue to provide us colourful scenes and ensure the grey skies stay away, that would be just perfect

An Update on 2017’s Resolutions

Back in January I (along with many others) set some New Year’s Resolutions. We’re well into the last quarter of 2017 and I thought it’s be a good time to look back, see if there were any achievements and if there’s any extra work I need to do to succeed

I started the year by saying the following:

To look forward, I see the three words that will underpin and define 2017 for me:

-FAMILY – HEALTH – ADVENTURES –

Playing in Leaves {Ordinary Moments 8/10/17}

Life has been so busy the past few weeks I’ve struggled to have time out and record our ordinary moments. The past week has seen 2 conferences, training, birthday parties and an off colour J to start it off. That naturally slowed our evenings and weekends down but our little tornado of energy returned towards the end of this week and so we set off on Thursday to stretch our legs and play in the fallen leaves

Autumn Love {Blogtober #3}

Long nights, cosy knits, warm socks and a crisp smell in the air on a walk…what’s not to love about autumn? It is by far my most favourite season and I have a constant pull to get out and about and explore the fields, and to walk under the trees as they start turning gorgeous shades to represent the end of summer

The End of Cameras?

Last week there was an Apple keynote speech. As my hubby does every year without fail, he locked himself away and watched it with eager anticipation. He spends weeks (months in fact) before the keynote speech, finding out everything about the proposed updates and technologies. Even though he knows 99% of what is likely to be announced by the Apple team it’s still a massive date in his calendar and he refuses to miss it
